“Noi Due” MONFERRATO ROSSO DOC

This wine is named after the bet made between us, the Liuzzi brothers, at the beginning of our business. At the beginning of the century, all the Nebbiolo plants in our area were sickened by downy mildew, the most serious fungal disease of the vine; it can attack all the green organs of the plant, mainly the leaves, shoots, and bunches, causing significant damage. For this reason, all the vines were uprooted and, in their place, vines for the production of Barbera were planted, which are much more resistant plants.
When we started the wine production of Cascina Liuzzi in 2011, we replanted 5 rows of Nebbiolo as a bet, to return the production of the territory to its origins.
From here comes Noi Due – Monferrato Rosso Doc “Cascina Liuzzi”
